S&P Oyster Restaurant and Bar, located in Mystic, Connecticut is seeking special, hospitality skilled, initiative-taking, service professionals for full-time year-round positions. S&P has been in business for over 30 years and has been fortunate to find, train, and work with the best service teams in New England. Spring is upon us and with that comes a busy patio for lunch opening in early March. All signs point to another strong season heading into summer which should be another record-breaker for S&P. This fall brings the 100th Anniversary of the Mystic Bascule Bridge (the only bridge of its kind in the USA) which is shaping up to be a once in a lifetime event unfolding at our doorstep. There is no better time than now to join our team.

Both the culinary team and service personnel continue to provide excellence in both food and service to guests from around the world as well as our strong local following. We are constantly evolving and defining what is the cutting edge, continually investing in our team and facility with state-of-the-art equipment, and physical changes such as our all-seasons patio. Chef Edgar Cobena researches, learns, and executes the latest food trends providing our guests with unique and innovative flavors that can only be described as Mystic Fresh, Distinctly South American.

Our service team is highly compensated due to their ability to work as a team and by giving great service through knowledge and experience. Quite simply, we are looking for the best of the best to help grow our business and stay with us for years to come.

Qualifications and Duties: 

  • Initiative-taking individual with the drive and tenacity for professional, seamless, and next-level guest service.
  • 3-5 years of service experience in high-end professional establishments.
  • Must possess strong product knowledge to include wine, spirits, and food.
  • Build relationships with our regular clientele as well as establish new relationships.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with guests to effectively deliver great guest experiences.
  • Ability to work as a team, effectively communicate with other team members for the benefit of guests and team alike.
  • Flexible work schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of restaurant POS systems as well as departments within. 

Full-time Servers have the ability to make $70,000 per year.


For our Host or Hostess position, we are seeking guest service professionals who are skilled in hospitality and possess clear, professional, communication skills both on the phone and in person. Candidates for this position must be available to work afternoons and weekends. Presentation skills are essential in both language and appearance. We offer strong wages and opportunity for advancement. Trained professional hosts and hostesses have the opportunity to earn $20.00+ per hour.

Food Expeditor

This next-level service provider is a key bridge between the kitchen and service. Fast-paced, this position requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and to work with a small team under pressure.

  • 3-5 years of service experience in high-end professional establishments required.
